I picked up a guitar when I was eleven and quickly discovered that writing, playing, and recording music resonated with me deeply.

In addition to 8 years of private instruction in guitar and music theory, I was able to take classes and seminars on production, live sound, and music business throughout college. I continue to learn more about theory, my instrument, and recording any chance I get.

I built a home studio and have been recording various projects ever since.

I write songs and play guitar in my band, Vanguard Party. We’ve recorded and mixed each of our releases using my home studio.

Other projects I’ve worked on

Written and recorded with my band, Vanguard Party. This song was created for the closing credits, built on an idea from the film’s director.

I wrote and recorded this show’s theme music. Technoptimist is a positive science news segment on WERU radio produced by Teresa Carey.

A project from my old company, Doctrine Productions. We animated and scored a trailer that played at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival before each screening.

Friends of mine, Impersona, are a math-rock band from Greensboro, NC. I recorded and mixed this early EP.
